Teheran khawatir, banyak penyusup yang menjadi mata-mata intelijen Israel, Mossad.
Dikutip dari Tribunnews pada Selasa (17/6), langkah ini sebagai peringatan keras bagi siapa pun yang berniat bekerja sama dengan musuh.
Kementerian Intelijen Iran mengimbau publik melaporkan aktivitas mencurigakan, termasuk mewaspadai orang asing di sekitar area militer atau industri.
Masyarakat juga diminta mewaspadai rumah yang selalu tertutup dengan suara mencurigakan.
Ahmad-Reza Radan, Kepala Kepolisian Iran pada Senin (16/6), mendesak para "pengkhianat" agar segera menyerahkan diri.
Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i, Ketua Mahkamah Agung Iran, juga menyerukan proses hukum terhadap tersangka mata-mata.
Saat ini, 28 orang berhasil ditangkap di Teheran sejak serangan Israel pada Jumat (13/6), dengan tuduhan telah membocorkan informasi kepada Israel.
Selain di Iran, aparat juga menangkap puluhan orang lain di luar Teheran.
Mereka dinilai menyebarkan konten daring yang dinilai mendukung Israel.
