«Sul lavoro abbiamo stabilito che possono accedere agli incentivi pubblici per le assunzioni solamente quelle imprese che applicano un salario giusto, dove per salario giusto si intende il trattamento economico complessivo sancito dai contratti collettivi nazionali che vengono stipulati dalle organizzazioni sindacali e datoriali più rappresentative». Così la presidente del Consiglio, Giorgia Meloni, nel corso del question time al Senato rispondendo all'interrogazione presentata da Nm sugli strumenti di tutela del livello dei salari e del potere d'acquisto. «È una strada diversa da quella del salario minimo legale, che viene invece proposta dalle opposizioni, che però, come dimostra per esempio il caso della Puglia, dove è stato applicato il salario minimo, rischia di diventare una soglia al ribasso piuttosto che una tutela in più. Ora, chiaramente nessuno pensa che il problema sia risolto, sappiamo che gli stipendi in Italia sono ancora troppo bassi, che bisogna continuare a lavorarci, che molte famiglie fanno fatica. Però dopo anni in cui il potere d'acquisto diminuiva, la tendenza si è invertita e questo significa che continuando con questo lavoro e su questa strada possiamo far crescere i salari in modo stabile», ha concluso la premier.
