El convoy avanzó entre calles completamente cerradas y una amplia presencia policial, mientras el exmandatario descendía con visibles dificultades, acompañado en todo momento por agentes federales.
Es la primera vez que Maduro pisa una corte estadounidense, donde deberá responder por graves cargos vinculados al narcotráfico y al crimen organizado internacional.
Junto a él también comparece su esposa, Cilia Flores, incluida por primera vez de manera formal en la acusación. La Fiscalía sostiene que el caso no se limita a acciones individuales, sino a una estructura operada desde las más altas esferas del poder en Venezuela.
Esta comparecencia marca un momento clave, no solo en el proceso judicial, sino en el futuro político del país, mientras el mundo observa lo que podría convertirse en el mayor juicio contra un jefe de Estado latinoamericano en la historia reciente.
