El secretario de Comercio de Estados Unidos, Howard Lutnick, cree que Washington podrá alcanzar un acuerdo comercial con la Unión Europea, antes del 1 de agosto, fecha límite para las negociaciones antes de la entrada en vigor de la nueva ronda de aranceles de la Casa Blanca. Lutnick hizo estas declaraciones el domingo en una entrevista con el programa “Face the Nation” de la CBS, en la que además aseguró que todavía hay, y citamos, “mucho margen para llegar a un acuerdo comercial” con los negociadores europeos. Sin embargo, reiteró que no habrá más aplazamientos, tras el 1 de agosto, para la implementación de estos nuevos aranceles.
