Rudal ini pertama kali diuji coba pada tahun 2008 yang lalu.
Rudal Sejjil sendiri merupakan rudal balistik jarak menengah dua tingkat.
Jangkauan maksimumnya bisa mencapai 2.000 kilometer.
Iran meluncurkan rudal baru tersebut pada Rabu (18/6/2025).
Menurut laporan, setidaknya ada tiga rudal Sejjil yang telah diluncurkan Iran ke Israel.
Peluncuran rudal ini dilakukan hanya beberapa jam setelah Pemimpin Revolusi Islam Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei mengeluarkan pesan.
Khamenei sebelumnya mengatakan jika Iran tak akan pernah menyerah pada perang.
Sementara dari video yang dibagikan di media sosial, rudal-rudal tersebut bergerak tak biasa di langit.
Bahkan, rudal tersebut mampu menghindari sistem pertahanan udara Israel yang bertingkat.
Media Israel melaporkan sirene serangan udara di Tel Aviv, Haifa, Netanya dan Hashfula.
Pemukim yang panik langsung berlindung ke bunker.
