Una película sobre la Masacre de Nanjing de 1937 lidera actualmente la cartelera china en este verano. Titulada "Dead to Rights", esta cinta ambientada en tiempos de guerra ha encabezado la taquilla desde su estreno el 25 de julio. Ambientada en el contexto de la Masacre de Nanjing, "Dead to Rights" sigue a un grupo de civiles refugiados en un estudio fotográfico.
