Le fiamme hanno iniziato a vedersi all'alba, nelle campagne fra Vicenza e Padova dove alle 5.30 di lunedì 7 settembre è scoppiato un incendio, in via Pigafetta a Grisignano di Zocco (VI) in un capannone adibito allo smaltimento di rifiuti. Nessuna persona è rimasta coinvolta.
Sul posto operano squadre di vigili del fuoco della sede centrale di Vicenza, del distaccamento di Arzignano e dei volontari di Thiene, con un'autopompa, un'autobotte e un'autoscala oltre a un'autobotte proveniente dal comando dei Vigili del fuoco di Padova.
