З початку 2025 року в Чернівецькій області значно активізувався процес переходу релігійних організацій Української православної церкви МП до Православної церкви України.З січня до кінця травня голосування за перехід до ПЦУ відбулись у 37 релігійних громадах. Ця кількість становить більш як половину всіх переходів за цей період по всій Україні.
Проте такі голосування — це лише частина процесу. Найважче — фізично зайти до храму. Для розуміння: з усіх 37 громад на Буковині, де цього року відбулися голосування, лише один настоятель парафії УПЦ МП погодився перейти на бік ПЦУ. Решта — до останнього боронять храм від, на їхню думку, «рейдерів», «бойовиків» і «розкольників».
