Tras expulsión de diplomáticos cubanos, Ecuador instala oficina del FBI

El influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola comentó en su programa Hola! Ota-Ola la firma de un acuerdo de cooperación en seguridad entre Ecuador y el Federal Bureau of Investigation.

El memorando de entendimiento establece la presencia permanente del FBI en el país sudamericano y la creación de una unidad conjunta entre la agencia estadounidense y la Policía Nacional ecuatoriana. Según autoridades, la iniciativa busca fortalecer la lucha contra el crimen organizado y el narcotráfico.

Durante el acto oficial, representantes del gobierno ecuatoriano destacaron que esta cooperación marca un nuevo capítulo en la coordinación internacional en materia de seguridad, con el objetivo de enfrentar estructuras criminales que operan en la región.

En su análisis, Otaola vinculó este acuerdo con el panorama político latinoamericano y con las preocupaciones sobre la influencia de actores externos en distintos procesos políticos de la región.
