Terminan una imponente obra en el Radiotelescopio CART de Barreal
El Observatorio Astronómico Félix Aguilar de Argentina informó de que se ha culminado la etapa de armado del plato en el Radio Telescopio Chino-Argentino, CART, por sus siglas en inglés, en la Pampa del Leoncito, al sur de San Juan, donde la contaminación lumínica es casi nula y el cielo es uno de los más limpios del planeta. El CART será el mayor radiotelescopio de Sudamérica, con una antena de 40 metros de diámetro. Este proyecto representa el avanzado nivel de investigación y desarrollo, así como la capacidad de producción independiente de grandes antenas por parte de China. Es también el primer equipo de observación astronómica de gran calibre que China ha establecido en el extranjero, aprovechando plenamente los excelentes recursos de Argentina. Esto permitirá a ambos países llevar a cabo investigaciones efectivas en astronomía y campos relacionados.
