Sei diamanti di Gould hanno debuttato danzando nell’Oasi delle Farfalle del bioparco Zoom Torino. I piccoli passeriformi - tre maschi - si esibiscono davanti alle femmine con continui saltelli verticali, gonfiando il petto ed emettendo un canto inconfondibile. Arrivati poco meno di due settimane fa, gli esemplari hanno già formato coppie stabili e convivono ora con tre bradipi, un camaleonte, due gechi diurni del Madagascar e molte specie di insetti e farfalle. Si tratta di un piccolo uccello che l’Australia ha visto quasi scomparire tra gli anni ’60 e ’80, tanto da introdurre il divieto di cattura in natura per salvarne le popolazioni.
