Kebo bule melambangkan keselamatan masyarakat Jawa.
Bukan kerbau biasa, tapi jadi salah satu pusaka yang dimiliki oleh Keraton Solo.
Masyarakat Solo dan sekitarnya mengenal Kebo Bule ini dengan nama Kyai Slamet.
Sebutan Kebo Bule berasal dari warna kulit kerbau yang putih dan kemerah-merahan, sehingga berbeda dari kerbau yang umumnya berwarna hitam atau cokelat.
Heri Sulistyo sebagai pawang menyebut bahwa Kebo Bule ini hanya ada di Keraton Surakarta dan tidak ada di tempat lain.(*)
