Grüne und Linke im Bundestag fordern die Erhöhung des Mindestlohns in Deutschland auf 15 Euro. Die beiden getrennten Anträge dazu sollen am Freitag im Plenum beraten werden.

Die Fragen nach der künftigen Höhe und der Festlegung des Mindestlohns waren einer der ersten Konflikte in der neuen schwarz-roten Regierung. Die SPD schloss einen gesetzlichen Eingriff nicht aus, die Union pocht dagegen auf die Unabhängigkeit der Mindestlohnkommission. CDU, CSU und SPD hatten sich im Koalitionsvertrag zu der Kommission bekannt, in der Vertreter:innen von Arbeitnehmer:innen sitzen.

Seit Jahresbeginn liegt der Mindestlohn bei 12,82 Euro. Sowohl der Antrag der Grünen- als auch jener der Linksfraktion sieht die garantierte Erhöhung des Mindestlohns auf 15 Euro vor.
