Von der Leyen nennt Atomausstieg Fehler: „Offenbarungseid für ganze Politiker-Generation“Die Debatte über den deutschen Atomausstieg flammt erneut auf. EU-Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von der Leyen bezeichnet den Ausstieg aus der Kernenergie in Deutschland als „strategischen Fehler“. Anlass ist ein internationaler Atomenergie-Gipfel in Frankreich, an dem über 40 Staaten und Organisationen teilnehmen – Deutschland jedoch nicht. Während viele Industrieländer neue Reaktoren planen und auf moderne Technologien wie Mini-Reaktoren (SMR) setzen, bleibt Deutschland beim Ausstieg. Gleichzeitig prüft die EU, Milliarden in neue Kernkrafttechnologien zu investieren. Kritiker warnen: Deutschland könnte solche Projekte indirekt mitfinanzieren, ohne selbst von der Energie zu profitieren. Die Diskussion über die Zukunft der Energiepolitik nimmt damit erneut Fahrt auf.
