La Fiamma Paralimpica è arrivata in piazza Duomo per l'accensione del braciere, in occasione del passaggio della fiaccola a Milano. La Fiamma Paralimpica di Milano Cortina 2026 è stata accesa ieri a Stoke Mandeville, nel Regno Unito, luogo simbolo e culla del Movimento Paralimpico. Il viaggio italiano durerà 11 giorni, coinvolgerà 501 tedofori e toccherà i territori di Milano Cortina 2026. Sul palco sono saliti anche il sindaco di Milano Giuseppe Sala, il presidente della Regione Lombardia Attilio Fontana, Diana Bianchedi, vicepresidente del Coni e il presidente del Cip Luca Pancalli che si è detto "felice di aver portato tutti questi atleti e aver fatto un'esperienza". Gli ultimi tedofori che hanno portato la fiamma sul palco sono stati i nuotatori artistici Giorgio Minisini e Arianna Sacripante, insieme alla ginnasta Giorgia Villa.
