نوید کلهرودی، دانشآموخته اندیشه سیاسی دانشگاه تهران، در رساله دکتری خود با عنوان «خیال اجتماعی ایرانیان و تحول مفهوم شاهنشاه در ایران عصر قاجار»، مشروطیت را از دریچه سه مفهوم «الهیات سیاسی»، «حافظه جمعی» و «خیال اجتماعی» بررسی کرده است.با او از جایگاه شاه پیش و پس از مشروطه، تناقض نهفته در اصل 35 متمم قانون اساسی، منازعه مشروطهخواهان و مشروعهخواهان و نسبت میان اقتدار سیاسی، امنیت و آزادی سخن گفتهایم. بهانه چه بود؟ صدوبیست سالگی انقلاب مشروطه.
