Columbia University strikes $220m deal to restore federal funding after Gaza protest fallout

Columbia University has agreed to a multi-million-dollar settlement with the US government.
It's part of a deal with the Trump administration to resolve federal investigations and restore funding.
The White House had criticised the university for its handling of last year's student protests against the war on Gaza.

Al Jazeera spoke to Columbia University Student Allie Wong. She was arrested during the protests on campus in April last year. Wong says this settlement sets a dangerous precedent.
