Perucho Navarro nació el 26 de abril de 1943 en Venezuela. El artista inició su carrera musical con Anguera y sus Muchachos y posteriormente pasó por la Orquesta de Carlos Torres. En los sesenta se mudó a México, donde trabajó con varios grupos musicales y desarrolló una carrera en el teatro y la televisión antes de regresar a su país.Perucho Navarro, una de las voces más emblemáticas de la música tropical venezolana y exintegrante de la orquesta Los Melódicos, falleció a los 85 años.
El cantante murió este miércoles 8 de julio en Galicia, España, donde vivía desde hace varios años y enfrentaba complicaciones de salud derivadas de un accidente cerebrovascular (ACV).
Conocido como “El showman de Venezuela”, el artista se convirtió en una de las figuras más recordadas de la música bailable del país gracias a su carisma sobre el escenario y a su interpretación de guarachas y ritmos tropicales.
Pedro Marcelino Rodríguez Navarro, su verdadero nombre, hizo parte de una de las épocas más exitosas de Los Melódicos bajo la dirección de Renato Capriles.
