The shooter fired at Trump from the sloping roof of a low building. The US Secret Service has said that the shooter fired multiple shots before being "neutralised". The attack killed a bystander and left two spectators critically injured. Trump was seen returning to the crowd after the attack, raising his fist and saying "fight" repeatedly. US President Joe Biden has condemned the attack, saying there is no place for this kind of violence. Biden returned to Washington, cutting short his Delaware beach house trip. Trump’s campaign has said that he will attend the Republican National Convention next week in Milwaukee.
