«Il Sudtirolo è un esempio emblematico per il nostro popolo, che lotta per la propria identità, la propria cultura e la propria autodeterminazione. Per questo, a mio avviso, è anche compito dei politici tedeschi interessarsi a questo territorio e alla sua gente. E sto cercando di ottemperare a questa responsabilità». È un passaggio dell'intervento di Jean Pascal Hohm, leader di Generation Deutschland, l'associazione giovanile di Afd. Hohm ha parlato a Termeno, in Alto Adige, in occasione dell'incontro organizzato dal movimento giovanile della Süd-Tiroler Freiheit, il partito sudtirolese di ispirazione separatista. «È un onore per me poter parlare qui oggi. Ho un enorme rispetto per la lotta per la libertà dei sudtirolesi e non solo della Süd-Tiroler Freiheit come partito, ma soprattutto delle persone qui che da decenni vivono in uno Stato a loro estraneo e ciononostante mantengono tradizioni, lingua e cultura. Ho il massimo rispetto per questo ed è per questo che per me è un grande onore» ha detto ancora Hohm.
