Die Wirtschaftsweisen haben Bundeskanzler Merz ihren neuen Jahresbericht übergeben. Darin kritisieren die Mitglieder des Sachverständigenrats Wirtschaft die Zweckentfremdung des 500 Milliarden Sondervermögens. Die Ökonom:innen fordern die Bundesregierung aus CDU, CSU und SPD zu einem Kurswechsel auf. Nach einem Mini-Wachstum von 0,2 Prozent in diesem Jahr rechnet der Sachverständigenrat für 2026 mit einem Plus des Bruttoinlandsprodukts von 0,9 Prozent. Laut der Expert:innen sei die Vermögensungleicheit in Deutschland besonders hoch. Daher schlagen sie auch eine Reform der Erbschaftssteuer vor.
