È cominciato nella mattinata di mercoledì 10 settembre, l’intervento del Consorzio di Bonifica sulle sponde dell’Arno, in centro storico a Firenze. Per l’occasione è stato affittato un escavatore anfibio, che rispetto al macchinario tradizionale è stato montato su speciali cingoli che gli permettono di muoversi in acqua, fango e terreni paludosi: «Soltanto due ditte in Italia sono dotate di questo mezzo speciale, molto affascinante da vedere – spiega Paolo Masetti, presidente del Consorzio di Bonifica Medio Valdarno – Il suo costo di affitto ammonta a 2.400 euro al giorno».
