Iran reportedly exported nearly 70 million barrels of crude worth up to $6 billion during a brief window when US restrictions were temporarily eased. Around 20 tankers sailed toward waters off Malaysia, where ship-to-ship transfers allegedly helped move the oil toward China's private refineries. Analysts say the operation has given Tehran a financial cushion even after Washington reimposed restrictions.
