Hal itu ia sampaikan saat tiga negara Eropa, yakni Spanyol, Norwegia dan Irlandia resmi mengakui kemerdekaan Palestina, Selasa (28/5/2024).
Tepatnya, dalam jumpa pers bersama Kanselir Jerman Olaf Scholz di Jerman.
"Tidak ada hal yang tabu bagi Prancis, dan saya benar-benar siap untuk mengakui negara Palestina," ucap Macron.
Macron menegaskan, Prancis akan memastikan pengakuan terhadap Palestina bermanfaat dan berbuah nyata.
Macron bersumpah, tidak ada standar ganda mengenai penderitaan warga sipil dalam konflik di berbagai belahan dunia.
Ia pun menggambarkan, situasi di Rafah sebagai hal yang mengerikan, dan menambahkan, serangan Israel harus dihentikan.
