(LaPresse) L'Elefantino del Bernini in Piazza della Minerva a Roma è stato danneggiato: una delle zanne della scultura è stata spezzata. “È inammissibile che ancora una volta il patrimonio artistico e culturale della Nazione debba subire un danno così grave. A pochi giorni dalla inaugurazione della grande mostra su Gian Lorenzo Bernini alla Galleria di Arte Antica di Palazzo Barberini, a essere preso di mira è il suo Elefantino in Piazza della Minerva", ha dichiarato martedì sera in una nota il ministro della Cultura, Alessandro Giuli. "Il Ministero della Cultura, attraverso la Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma deputata all’alta sorveglianza sui beni artistici - si legge ancora - darà il proprio contributo alla Sovrintendenza Capitolina, da cui dipende il monumento, per il ripristino della scultura: uno dei simboli più significativi della Capitale, colpito da un assurdo atto di barbarie”.
