Melalui pernyataan terbarunya, Minggu (30/6/2024), Netanyahu menegaskan, akan melanjutkan perang hingga mendapatkan kemenangan atas Hamas.
Ia juga berjanji akan memulangkan 120 sandera yang masih ditawan Hamas baik yang masih hidup atau meninggal dunia.
Netanyahu menegaskan, Hamas merupakan satu-satunya penghalang dalam upaya pembebasan sandera Israel dan ribuan tahanan Palestina.
Lebih lanjut, Netanyahu menekankan tujuan Israel untuk memastikan Gaza tak lagi jadi ancaman bagi Tel Aviv.
Pernyataan ini disampaikan seusai pemerintahan Presiden Amerika Serikat Joe Biden merevisi bahasa untuk beberapa elemen dalam usulan kesepakatan mengenai pembebasan sandera dan gencatan senjata di Gaza.
Selain soal Gaza, Netanyahu juga mengatakan bahwa Israel bertekad memulihkan keamanan di area-area perbatasan termasuk dengan Lebanon.
Sehingga warga Israel bisa kembali ke rumah mereka dengan aman.
