BERLIN: Merz unter massivem Druck! CDU-Kritik nach Umgang mit Patrick Schnieder wächst weiterDie Kritik am Führungsstil von Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz aus der eigenen Partei hält an. Aus der CDU heißt es: „Eine Bundesregierung sollte nicht wie ein Feudalkönigreich geführt werden.“ Partei-Urgestein Wolfgang Bosbach sagt, die Art und Weise, wie Merz mit dem zurückgetretenen Bundesverkehrsminister Patrick Schnieder umgegangen sei, mache ihn sehr nachdenklich.
Auch in Rheinland-Pfalz, der Heimat von Patrick Schnieder, herrscht Unverständnis über die Personalrochade im Kabinett. Die Vorgehensweise sei skandalös.
Der Bundespräsident soll am Mittag die von Friedrich Merz ernannten Minister in ihren neuen Ämtern bestätigen. Am Nachmittag soll die CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion Thorsten Frei als Nachfolger des zurückgetretenen Fraktionschefs Jens Spahn wählen.
