Kebanyakan dari mereka hidupnya berakhir tragis karena divonis hukuman mati.
Media pemerintah Iran, Tasnim, merilis video pada Sabtu (21/6/2025) yang memperlihatkan seorang pria diduga mata-mata Israel.
Pria tersebut dibawa ke sebuah ruangan dalam kondisi mata tertutup.
Ia kemudian diinterogasi oleh sejumlah orang, termasuk pejabat militer.
Pria tersebut mengaku terpaksa menjadi agen intelijen Israel karena alasan ekonomi.
Ia menganggur dan harus membiayai anggota keluarga.
"Saya seorang pengangguran, namun saya membiayai keluarga saya," ujar dia.
Tidak jelas apakah pria tersebut merupakan warga Iran asli atau pendatang.
Iran baru-baru ini juga mengeksekusi mati mata-mata Israel bernama Esmaeil Fekri.
Ia dihukum gantung pada Senin (16/6/2025) karena terbukti memberikan informasi rahasia kepada dua perwira Mossad.
