Gothic: A Shadow's Quest - Preview & Review
In-depth analysis and final thoughts of the Gothic board game, from a Gothic fan and avid board gamer. How faithful does this feel to the Gothic video game? How good is it compared to other modern board games? What kinds of audiences would I recommend it to? What do I like most about it, and what would I like to see improved? All these questions and more will be answered as I take a deep-dive into various observations from my time with the prototype. Please remember that this is a prototype and therefore does not necessarily reflect the final quality of what will ultimately be delivered to backers; many components are already planned to be changed and improved, and there may already be gameplay design changes in the works. I can't guess as to what exactly will change or improve, however, so I can only judge based on the prototype that I have available. This copy was sent to me for free, but THQ Nordic is not paying me to produce content for them, so this is all my honest opinion on everything.
