Laman resmi FIFA per 20 Juni 2024, menempatkan timnas Indonesia di ranking 134 dunia.
Ranking tersebut stagnan dibandingkan pada 4 April 2024.
Timnas Indonesia pada 4 April 2024 lalu memiliki 1102,7 poin.
Sementara per 20 Juni 2024, skuad Garuda mempunyai 1108,73 poin.
Artinya Timnas Indonesia hanya mendapatkan tambahan 6,03 poin.
Penambahan poin tersebut tidak terlepas dari laga Timnas Indonesia melawan Irak dan Filipina.
Timnas Indonesia kalah 0-2 dari Irak dan mengalahkan Filipina 2-0.
Tim besutan Shin Tae-yong itu dipepet Malaysia.
Per 20 Juni 2024, Malaysia berada di ranking 135 dunia dengan 1107,58.
Tim berjulukan Harimau Malaya itu naik tiga peringkat.
Sebelumnya, mereka ada di ranking 138 dunia dengan 1094,54.
Malaysia mendapatkan tambahan poin cukup besar yakni 13,04 poin.
Tim besutan Kim Pan-gon itu memang meraih hasil cukup positif di dua laga terakhir putaran kedua Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026, meski gagal lolos.
Malaysia bermain imbang 1-1 melawan Kirgistan dan mengalahkan Taiwan 3-1.
