Dicap Malas-malasan, Pertamina Jawab Kritik Menkeu Purbaya soal Pembangunan Kilang Minyak Baru

Perkembangan proyek RDMP Balikpapan ini sekaligus menjawab kritik dari Menteri Keuangan (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa yang menyebut Pertamina lama tidak membangun kilang baru.
Dikutip dari Kompas.com pada Rabu (1/10/2025), Direktur Utama KPI Taufik Adityawarman mengatakan, RDMP Balikpapan dan terminal Lawe-Lawe, saat ini memasuki fase krusial, yakni uji coba peralatan (commissioning) dan awal pengoperasian kilang (start-up).
Sedangkan terminal Lawe-Lawe menjadi tempat penerimaan, penyimpanan dan penyaluran minyak mentah yang terhubung dengan RDMP Balikpapan.
Taufik menyebut, tahap ini menjadi penentu keberhasilan proyek dalam meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan kualitas bahan bakar minyak.
Proyek RDMP Balikpapan diyakini memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional, sebab selain meningkatkan kapasitas pengolahan, kilang ini juga akan menghasilkan produk bahan bakar minyak berkualitas setara Euro 5.
Proyek ini memiliki target meningkatkan produk LPG yang awalnya 48.000 ton per tahun menjadi sebesar 384.000 ton per tahun.
Kenaikan sebesar 336.000 ton per tahun ini berpotensi menurunkan impor LPG sekitar 4,9 persen.
"Proyek ini erat kaitannya dengan arah pembangunan nasional yang tertuang dalam Asta Cita, delapan program prioritas," kata Taufik.
Sebelumnya, Purbaya menilai Pertamina malas-malasan lantaran tidak adanya penambahan kilang baru selama beberapa tahun belakangan.
Hal itu disampaikan Menkeu saat rapat kerja dengan Komisi XI DPR RI pada Selasa (30/9/2025).
Purbaya juga mengungkap janji Pertamina untuk membangun 7 kilang baru dalam 5 tahun pada 2018 silam.
Namun kini sudah 7 tahun berlalu pun tak kunjung direalisasikan satu pun.
