Eman Sulaeman mengambulkan permohonan gugatan praperadilan terhadap tersangka kasus pembunuhan Vina dan Eky di Cirebon tahun 2016, Pegi Setiawan.
Hakim Eman menilai tidak ditemukan bukti satu pun bahwa Pegi alias Perong pernah dilakukan pemeriksaan sebagai calon tersangka oleh Polda Jawa Barat.
Menurut Susno, hakim tunggal Eman Sulaeman berani mengubah paradigma bahwa orang hukum tumpul ke atas tapi tajam kebawah.
Hal itu disampaikan Susno Duadji saat sesi wawancara khusus dengan Direktur Pemberitaan Tribun Network Febby Mahendra Putra di studio Tribunnews, Palmerah, Jakarta, Senin (8/7/2024).
Susno memandang hakim seperti Eman Sulaeman yang harus dipromosikan bukan seperti hakim-hakim yang mengadili pada tingkat pertama untuk perkara ini.
“Nah hebatnya beliau punya integritas tidak terpengaruh tekanan, baik tekanan media, tidak terpengaruh tekanan instansi, tidak terpengaruh tekanan duit, dan tidak terpengaruh tekanan kekuasaan,” imbuhnya.
Keputusan Hakim Eman Sulaeman, menurut Susno, sudah sesuai harapan masyarakat di mana Pegi Setiawan bukan tersangka yang sebenarnya.
Dia memandang sebanyak 99 persen daripada citizen berpihak kepada Pegi, untung saja berpihak dalam arti kebenaran.
