And never one to back down from a challenge, Thomas attempted to match Michael Jordan blow for blow, finishing with 36 points (14-of-22 shooting) and 13 assists in 44 minutes of action.Alas, it'd be Jordan who'd win this round. In the midst of a 1986-87 season in which he averaged over 37 points per game, Jordan racked up 47 points on 16-of-35 shooting from the field in a 124-119 win over the Detroit Pistons.
