Il 9 agosto scorso, durante il tradizionale omaggio a Fabrizio De André organizzato nell'ambito del festival Time in Jazz all'Agnata, la tenuta del cantautore in Gallura, una spettatrice ha contestato la presenza del vicepremier Matteo Salvini al concerto di Diodato, lasciando la platea prima della fine dell'esibizione. A calmare gli animi è stata la padrona di casa, Dori Ghezzi. Presa la parola al microfono, la vedova del cantautore ha respinto la protesta pur restando, nelle sue parole, "sempre di sinistra". "Io la penso diversamente - ha detto - però è giusto creare un dialogo, altrimenti non saremmo più un paese democratico". L'intervento è stato accolto da un lungo applauso, compreso quello dello stesso Salvini. Di segno opposto la reazione, arrivata poche ore dopo sui social, della nipote Alice De André, secondo cui il nonno non avrebbe mai tollerato la scena e avrebbe interrotto lui stesso il concerto.
