“Abbiamo cominciato a lavorare sul Mezzogiorno fin dall’inizio della legislatura. Queste non sono questioni che si affrontano alla fine di una campagna elettorale. Noi abbiamo avuto un’idea diversa di Mezzogiorno rispetto a quella che abbiamo visto tante volte: quella di chi pensa che i problemi si possano risolvere con il clientelismo o di chi considera il Mezzogiorno un problema da risolvere. Noi abbiamo fatto una scommessa diversa: dimostrare che il Sud potesse diventare la locomotiva d’Italia. Abbiamo investito, aumentato la quota destinata alle infrastrutture e puntato sulla Zes Unica, che da sola ha generato 60 miliardi di euro di investimenti. Oggi, qui, il prodotto interno lordo e l’occupazione crescono più della media nazionale. Quindi tutto si può fare, ma serve una mentalità politica diversa, che si ponga anche il problema dei troppi ragazzi che se ne vanno. Questa è la prossima priorità", così, a Policoro la premier Giorgia Meloni.
