Su inteligencia, perseverancia y valentía ante una situación desesperada sirven de ejemplo para todas las mujeres del mundo que siguen luchando por la paz y la igualdad. Pero los talibanes no estaban interesados en una sociedad democrática y libre en la que las niñas y mujeres tengan derechos básicos, acudan a la escuela, estudien o trabajen. Tras décadas de guerra y caos, Afganistán se ha vuelto más seguro bajo el régimen talibán, pero el precio pagado por las mujeres es alto. El precio es su libertad.
