How to Know When to Increase Your Draw Weight
Are you actually ready to increase your draw weight? One of the biggest mistakes I see beginner and intermediate archers make is moving to heavier limbs before their technique is ready. While more draw weight can improve arrow speed, reduce wind drift, and clean up your release, it can also slow your progress if your form begins to break down.
In this video, I’ll show you the signs I look for before increasing draw weight, including how your form, recovery, consistency, and shot execution can tell you whether you’re truly ready for a heavier bow.
In my next video, I’ll show you exactly how I increase draw weight safely and why I almost never recommend making large jumps.
