Venezuela Earthquakes LIVE: At Least 32 Dead, With 700 Injured | State of Emergency Declared
A powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening, damaging buildings, causing power disruptions and triggering panic across the capital. Before residents could fully react and seek safety, a second and stronger 7.5-magnitude tremor hit just 39 seconds later, intensifying the destruction in Caracas.Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Rodriguez said at least 32 people were killed and more than 700 others injured in the twin earthquakes. The mayor of Baruta municipality in Caracas confirmed that at least three people died in the area. Rescue efforts are underway.
