Solo Ultimate Conquest - //node.ovrd.AVALON// [Destiny 2]

Destiny 2 Ash & Iron - Solo Ultimate Conquest Avalon Completion - Conqueror GM Nightfall Replacement Activity. Just a video showing a solo clear of the final Ultimate conquest version of Avalon / node ovrd AVALON in the Conquests tab. Details and thoughts below.

Well I guess that's it for the Conqueror node this season. This one ended up being not too bad (even more so now with the extended timer), and there's a way more room for improvement as I had barely any experience on this and honestly wasn't playing great when I recorded this. There's probably a bunch of skips and more optimal approaches, but this gets the job done for a first clear.

My only goal here was to make sure I had it done before the previous timer, and even for that there would've been almost 12 minutes to spare. I also had the mission bug out massively in the first section, presumably because of the Unravel from hitting the Cyclops, but it's pretty annoying to play around. The first boss was a bit of a mess, and the main boss first phase wasn't great either. The rest was decent though.

I went with Titan because it's the obvious best choice and very straightforward to use. You're basically invincible most of the time due to consecration and Brawn, even when getting physics'd into the wall with 2 Wyverns and a Hydra you'll somehow live. The amount of enemies to get regen health and build stacks from makes it easy to keep everything going. There's also the melee buffs in the mission itself which further feeds into it all.

Now that I've hit 550 and completed all of the conquests this season, I don't really have any more specific goals before Renegades. Those were the two main things I wanted to do, so for now I'll have to see what else I want to do. I'll probably revisit the conquests on other classes so I have a bit more variety there, other than 10 runs on Warlock, 1 on Hunter, 1 on Titan. But overall interest in conquests is extremely low, so maybe something else. I will still do the usual compilation post just for archival sake too.

Other than that it's just considering whether I want to redo solo dungeons or solo raid encounters for the umpteenth time. And I'll eventually find the motivation to get around to doing VoG now that it's 1 phaseable. Probably closer to Renegades though.

There's also some other games I want to play that are coming out, possibly covering Painkiller next week when it releases as it seems interesting. There's a few souslikes I've missed but I think it's too late for them at this point to cover. Maybe just a single compilation video, but I'll see how it goes. Either way likely a slow period in D2, especially in November, but regardless I'm happy enough to still have the conqueror seal done solo yet again.

On a final note, I didn't want to make a dedicated video on it, so I'll just leave it here: the levelling changes are actually very good. The power grind is significantly reduced, you're able to play multiple activities and be rewarded for it while chasing bonus engrams, without needing to farm the one thing over and over. I went from 537 to 550 in around an hour and a half doing that.

Obviously there's other issues, but at least it's a step in the right direction. I do feel like if Edge of Fate released with this system, the power grind would almost be a non-issue to many. There'd still be the real problems like the lack of new content to play that's available, along with a lack of meaningful loot to farm outside of T5s, but I feel like the portal and power grind alone wouldn't be perceived nearly as poorly. Hopefully we keep seeing positive changes for the community.
