Laporan tersebut dilayangkan oleh pengacara para terpidana kasus pembunuhan Vina dan didampingi eks Bupati Purwakarta, Dedi Mulyadi.
Dedi mengatakan, pelaporan ini bertujuan untuk menguji kembali kesaksian saksi Aep dan Dede.
Sebab, menurutnya, para terpidana harus menjalani hukuman juga karena kesaksian Aep maupun Dede.
Dedi meyakini, upaya yang dilakukan ini bisa menjadi jalan untuk membebaskan para terpidana.
Terlebih, satu tersangka sebelumnya, yakni Pegi Setiawan sudah dinyatakan bebas melalui permohonan praperadilan.
Kebebasan Pegi setiawan menjadi jalan masuk bagi pihaknya untuk mengumpulkan bukti-bukti.
Polri telah menerima laporan dari keluarga 7 terpidana kasus pembunuhan Vina dan Eky di Cirebon ke saksi Aep dan Dede soal dugaan memberikan keterangan palsu.
Hal itu dikonfirmasi oleh Karo Penmas Divisi Humas Polri Brigjen Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko di Lapangan Tembak Senayan, Jakarta Selatan, Kamis (11/7/2024).
Trunoyudo menyebut saat ini penyidik Bareskrim Polri tengah menelaah laporan yang diterima tersebut.
