Investigasi Penembakan Trump, FBI Temukan Alat Peledak hingga Sebut Pelaku Tak Tergabung Kelompok

Dalam keterangan pada Minggu (14/7/2024) waktu setempat, pejabat FBI menyatakan bahwa insiden ini adalah serangan terorisme domestik dan percobaan pembunuhan.
Sejauh ini penyidik masih melakukan pendalaman untuk mengetahui motif pelaku.
Menurut FBI, pelaku bernama Thomas Matthew Crooks tidak terbukti menjadi bagian dari kelompok tertentu.
Meski begitu, alasannya memanjat gedung untuk menembak Trump masih belum jelas.
Terkait penyelidikan, FBI bersama kejaksaan telah menyita sejumlah perangkat milik Crooks.
Selain itu petugas juga menemukan alat peledak potensial di mobil Crooks.
Ada dugaan bahwa alat tersebut diharapkan oleh Cooks bisa menyelamatkannya dari penembakan.
Selanjutnya petugas membawa perangkat dan senapan pelaku ke laboratorium di Virginia.
