Sehingga, perang bisa terjadi kapan saja termasuk di Indonesia.
Hal itu disampaikan Agus saat menghadiri penutupan Pendidikan Reguler (Dikreg) LIII Sekolah Staf dan Komando (Sesko) TNI Tahun Anggaran 2025 di Bandung, Jawa Barat, Selasa (24/6/2025).
"Potensi konflik antarnegara akan selalu ada dan perang bisa kapan saja terjadi di negara manapun, termasuk di negara kita," ujar Agus.
Agus menekankan, adanya potensi perang itu sekaligus menepis pandangan bahwa pertahanan negara bukan hal yang menjadi prioritas.
"Justru sebaliknya, kita harus siap perang karena kita ingin damai," imbuhnya.
