Sistemas Integrados Sustentables

El proyecto SENSE (Synergies in Integrated Systems Improving Resource Use Efficiency While Mitigating GHG Emissions Through Well Informed Decisions about Circularity), cuenta con 4 sitios piloto en Argentina donde se integran en mayor o menor medida varios sistemas agropecuarios, incluyendo sistemas silvopastoriles.

Los sitios piloto están localizados en INTA Leales (Tucumán), En Establecimiento "la Negra", partido de Suipacha (Buenos Aires) y en zona Delta (Buenos Aires), siendo el segundo y tercer sitio monitoreados por el Instituto de Suelos dependiente del INTA Castelar. El sitio de Balcarce se suma a estos sitios, resultando en un amplio gradiente ambiental para evaluar el gradiente ambiental y la circularidad de los sistemas.

Aquí confluyen varios proyectos nacionales de investigación: el I097 "Emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y captura de carbono en sistemas agroforestales", el I125 "Mejoramiento Genetico, caracterizacion y uso de la variabilidad con aplicación de herramientas biotecnologicas en cultivos frutales", el Proyecto Macroregional I013 "Diseño y Desarrollo de sistemas agropecuarios y forestales" y la Red de Huellas ambientales.
