केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह भी नामांकन रैली में मौजूद थे... उस दौरान नियमों का उल्लंघन कर हुई नारेबाजी और झड़प को रोकने में नाकाम रहने पर आयोग ने ये सख्त कदम उठाया है.. इस कार्रवाई पर टीएमसी ने कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी है... पार्टी ने चुनाव आयोग पर पक्षपातपूर्ण काम करने का आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि चुनाव आयोग बीजेपी के इशारे पर काम कर रहा है...
The Election Commission has taken major action regarding the violence that occurred during the nomination filing of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. The Commission has suspended the Kolkata Police DC-2, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Alipore, the Additional OC, and a Sergeant with immediate effect, and has initiated a departmental inquiry into the matter. This incident took place on April 2 in front of the Survey Building.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present at the nomination rally. The Commission took this strict step due to the failure of the officials to prevent the sloganeering and clashes that ensued during the event in violation of established norms. The TMC has reacted strongly to this action. Accusing the Election Commission of acting in a biased manner, the party alleged that the Commission is operating at the behest of the BJP.
