Göçebe hayatı yaşayan çingenelerin arasında büyüyen, büyüdükçe güzelleşen Gelincik ve Derbeder Ali birbirlerine aşıktırlar. Ali bir iftira üzerine hapse düşer. Bu arada Gelincik’in annesi zehirlenerek öldürülür. Gelincik hapisten çıkan ve İstanbul’da bir gazinoda keman çalan sevgilisi Ali’yi bulmak için yollara düşer.
