Tak hanya tentara, beberapa warga sipil juga turut menjadi korban.
Sumber keamanan mengatakan jika tiga tentara Pakistan dan satu warga sipil tewas.
Sementara, lima tentara juga dalam kondisi terluka akibat pertempuran tersebut.
Menyusul bentrokan yang terjadi, warga sipil di sisi perbatasan Pakistan meninggalkan wilayah itu menuju lokasi yang lebih aman.
Sumber-sumber Pakistan mengatakan beberapa pos perbatasan Taliban telah dihancurkan di Afghanistan selama aksi balasannya.
Namun, korban jiwa di pihak Afghanistan belum diketahui.
"Dalam respons yang cepat dan intens, pasukan Pakistan secara efektif menargetkan beberapa pos perbatasan Afghanistan," pejabat keamanan mengonfirmasi kepada Dawn News.
Dalam serangan ini, Pakistan menggunakan artileri, tank, dan senjata ringan dan berat dalam tindakannya.
Sementara, para penguasa Taliban Afghanistan mengonfirmasi bahwa pasukan mereka melancarkan serangan.
Serangan itu diklaim sebagai operasi balasan yang sukses di sepanjang Garis Durand terhadap pusat-pusat pasukan keamanan Pakistan.
“Operasi balasan yang sukses di sepanjang Garis Durand terhadap pusat-pusat pasukan keamanan Pakistan, sebagai respons atas pelanggaran berulang kali terhadap wilayah udara dan teritorial Afghanistan.” ujar Taliban.
