Cuba SIN ESPERANZA: el video de un turista que vivió un mes allí
Un TURISTA EXTRANJERO que pasó cerca de un mes en CUBA publicó un video en inglés donde asegura que la isla "ya no tiene esperanza". Las imágenes, difundidas esta semana de agosto de 2026, muestran edificios en ruinas, viviendas al borde del derrumbe y montañas de basura acumuladas en las calles de barrios cubanos.En su testimonio, el visitante reconoce que ver escombros y desechos "se convirtió en algo normal" durante su estancia. Al mismo tiempo destaca la ENERGÍA del pueblo cubano, que —según describe— sigue sonriendo y hallando alegría en pequeños detalles pese al sufrimiento diario. La contradicción entre la calidez humana y el deterioro material es el eje de su reflexión final.
El video reabrió un debate incómodo dentro del exilio: el llamado TURISMO DE POBREZA. El comunicador Alexander Otaola cuestionó en su programa el fenómeno de visitantes que documentan la miseria cubana desde la seguridad de saber que pueden marcharse, y planteó que parte de la ayuda humanitaria difundida en redes termina funcionando también como contenido para construir imagen pública.
De acuerdo con reportes de organizaciones independientes, el deterioro del fondo habitacional y la crisis de recogida de desechos se han agravado con los apagones prolongados y la falta de combustible. El régimen mantiene el turismo como una de sus principales fuentes de divisas mientras la infraestructura civil sigue colapsando.
