▷ AIUTA L'INFORMAZIONE LIBERA, SOSTIENICI: https://donazioni.radioradio.it/Durante la 77esima Assemblea Mondiale della Sanità, tenutasi tra maggio e giugno 2024, sono stati adottati nuovi emendamenti per il Regolamento Sanitario Internazionale. L'Italia ha espresso le sue riserve, ma per respingere formalmente il nuovo Regolamento la data cruciale era il 19 luglio 2025. Entro questa data, i Paesi interessati potevano presentare un'obiezione formale e quindi rigettare gli emendamenti. Gli Stati Uniti hanno fatto la prima mossa, con Robert F. Kennedy Jr che ha annunciato un rifiuto totale al Regolamento per una sospetta mancanza di chiarezza e per dubbi e controversie sulla sovranità nazionale in caso di nuove crisi sanitarie (il nuovo Regolamento concederebbe all'OMS molto più potere decisionale). Gli USA hanno così confermato il crescente distacco dall'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità, per la quale hanno già iniziato il processo di uscita. L'Italia ha seguito lo stesso esempio.
Orazio Schillaci, ministro della Salute, ha inviato una lettera al direttore generale dell'OMS, Tedros Ghebreyesus, dove conferma il rifiuto italiano a tutti gli emendamenti proposti. Tuttavia, secondo Martina Pastorelli, giornalista de La Verità, con l'OMS e il nuovo Regolamento Sanitario non è ancora finita qui.
