Genesis 3:16, because of the disobedience in the garden, we women have a desire to control our husband. Genesis 3 16 Eve sinned and therefore, we want to rule over our husband. Genesis 3 16, because of the fall, we blame each other. Eve was tempted by the serpent and for her disobedience, being a submissive wife is a challenge for all of us. Even in Christian marriage, many wives have a hard time being a submissive wife.We women can control our need to rule over our husband, if we turn to Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, instead of desiring to control our husband, we can walk in the Spirit of God and be our husband's helper. We can be happy to be the support to our husband. It is such a special position to have.
In every marriage, women have the desire to control, but godly women who are trying to overcome that desire can change their ways and their marriage.
In every marriage, there are going to be arguments and times that are unpleasant. That's what leadership is about for the men. That's what submissiveness is about for the women. It will not be comfortable or pretty, but as Christians, this is what we are called to do. By trusting God and following His word, the Bible, our obedience will be used for good.
A Christian wife is called to be a submissive wife, and a husband is called to lead his wife. If a wife is not being submissive to her husband and a husband is not leading his wife, then things are out of order. 1 Corinthians 11:3. Husbands, do not fall for these tricks any longer. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is calling for husbands to lead their home. If you listen to any relationship advice, please understand the Bible is calling for women to be a submissive wife. If that seems impossible in your marriage, you need to find out why. Why is a Christian wife acting like a heathen?
If you have faith in Jesus Christ, have faith He will have all things work according to His will. Don't you want to live in God's will? I do.
It may be painful, it may be uncomfortable, but anything worth having takes a lot of work. It's also painful to live with a horrible woman every day and not call her out. Don't allow the tricks of the devil to work through your wife. Stand up to her heathen ways.
The devil shall not win in your marriage.
