Synopsis:
In the remote South Korean village of Hope Harbor, Police Chief Bum-seok and Officer Sung-ae investigate a series of mysterious attacks linked to an unknown creature. As hunters venture into the surrounding forest, they discover a terrifying force beyond human understanding. hunt for a mysterious entity terrorizing a rural village, the narrative expands
into a desperate struggle for survival, eventually shifting and evolving into
an entirely new perspective. HOPE offers a unique genre experience

Zo In-sung reveals a
striking new side of himself. Through the character’s keen survival instincts,
Zo delivers a raw, untamed charisma and throws himself into physically
demanding action, dominating the screen with intensity. Hoyeon, who
continues to build a global career, plays Sung-ae, a local police officer who
steadfastly carries out her duties in any situation. She personally performs
high-octane sequences including car chases, drifting, and heavy weapons
action adding powerful momentum to the film
Alongside them, Michael Fassbender plays Ma’veyyo, a warrior and soldier
devoted to the empress
HOPE is the result of a relentless pursuit of perfection, bringing together an
elite crew with unparalleled expertise in cinematography, production
design, VFX, music, stunt coordination, sound mixing, makeup, costume,
and special effects.
Director Na Hong-Jin and the VFX team also spent considerable time
refining every detail—from the aliens’ physical forms to the texture and
color of their skin, down to scars and minute imperfections—in order to
embed each character’s narrative into their design. Combined with the
actors’ physicality, gaze, and emotional depth, these alien characters
emerge as both a visual centerpiece and a core pillar of Hope’s storytelling.
